herbs at a glance
Shortly after we returned to our pueblo, i decided to get out my green thumb (which makes an appearance usually once a year when we buy our live Christmas tree. Get the picture?)
But, I´ve been wanting to practice cooking more frequently and using fresh ingredients. So, I decided to plant a little herb garden in the flower box that sits outside my kitchen window. Basil, thyme, oregano and parsley. It wasn´t hard....just had to pull the grown herb plant from it´s plastic flower pot and gently place it in the flower box and surround it with lots of moist black soil.
Aaron loved it, especially walking around in the soil with his socks on. Nice.
The challenge will be to keep it alive and keep it this green. It may just be a glance and then they will be gone...or maybe not. Maybe they will live on for years. Time will tell! Hopefully, we´ll get some tasty meals out of these plants before we´re done.
