Get Ready, Get Set, Go 2008!!!
The Christmas holidays straddled by the Atlantic Ocean this past Christmas, spending Silent Night in North Carolina and ringing in the New Year in Catalunya.
It was fun to sing Christmas Carols at the traditional Ansbacher sing-a-long. We made a trip to some local hot spots: Biscuitville and Zack's Hotdogs.
Christmas dinner and unwrapping presents topped off the trip. This year Mark and Michael each received a portrait of his child, created with love by Mom.
Before we knew it, we were back in Spain and off to the mountains with the in-laws to ring in the New Year. Check out his grandma and the great spread before her!
In Spain the holiday season stretches on into January to celebrate Epiphany or what I like to call "3 Kings Day." We celebrated by taking part in the 3 Kings' Parade with some special friends who live in the heart of Barcelona.
With so many celebrations, I now need a vacation to rest up. At any rate, glad to send out the old year and get a new one started. Let the days of 2008 begin!
